2016 Girls Hockey Camp

The North Shore Hockey Development Academy (NSHDA) is excited to offer an all-Girls Hockey Camp in July!  The camp will be led by former College Hockey standouts Julie Sochacki (Sapio) and Jackie Wedster Kooistra.

The purpose of NSHDA's Girls Camp is to provide a high level training ground with exposure to top level female and male coaches. NSHDA is derived from the recognition that to build high level athletes it takes quality repetitions and advanced techniques. Hockey skills will be taught in a repetitive manner making the core fundamentals second nature so players can execute in competition. This summer camp is for the girl who inspires to play at an elite level and are committed to the game of hockey.

This training routine will concentrate on core skill fundamentals. Focus will be on skating/edges, passing, stick handling, shooting, defensive plays, offensive plays, and small area battles. Coaching emphasis will be on technique, repetition, constant feedback, and mastering of the skill.

The off-ice program will help players build strength, speed, and agility for on ice play.

Each player will receive a NSHDA jersey and T-Shirt.
