Ryan Taylor is one of the most widely respected coaches in the hockey community with over 15 years of experience in developing players of all ages from all over North America. 


Currently Ryan Taylor is the Central States Hockey Director at Highland Park, Falcons Hockey Program. For the past five years, 2009-2015, Ryan Taylor was the Hockey Director of the Bauer Selects. Currently, 2015-16, Ryan Taylor will Head Coach the 2001 & 2006 Bauer Teams and will Head Coach the Chicago Brick Team for IL. Ryan has been instrumental in the success and growth of both programs since taking over the helm.


Originally from Burlington, Ontario, Canada, Ryan grew up playing for the Burlington City Reps, AAA Hockey Organization. After Bantam Major, Ryan made the jump to the Ontario Juniors Hockey League (OJHL) where he played for the Burlington Cougars for two seasons. Ryan played his collegiate hockey here in Chicago at Lake Forest College and was coached by Tony Fritz. He shined and was named Captain for two years and earned the “Peter G. Taylor Award” in 1997-98. This award is for most outstanding talent, leadership and love for the game to which best exemplifies the qualities of the player for whom it is named. 


Ryan began his early coaching career with the AAA Hockey Club, Chicago Young Americans (CYA). After seven years with CYA, Coach Ryan went to the Chicago Mission for four years and moved in 2010 to the Falcons Highland Park Hockey Club. 


Ryan currently lives in Lake Forest, is happily married and has five beautiful young children.
